Consultation and Patch Test

Before starting any laser or IPL treatment, you will have a full consultation along with a patch test. This will ensure all is well to go ahead with the treatment and that you fully understand and are happy with what the treatment process will be. The patch test will give you an idea of how the treatment will feel. The patch test must be carried out at least 48 hours prior to treatment. The results of the patch will then be checked before any treatment commences. The area to be treated must be four weeks clear of the sun and two weeks clear of any self-tanning lotions/spray.

Hair Reduction

The Zeolight system’s amazing technology is extremely safe and effective for progressive hair reduction. This unique and clinically advanced system combines Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) with bi-polar Radio Frequency (RF). Using short, safe bursts of light emitted from a flash lamp, light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft, where it heats and destroys the hair.

The Zeolight combined approach means we can target precise areas and get deeper into the skin enhancing treatment results. If the hair is in the growth stage (anagen), the heat is transmitted down the hair shaft to the lining of the follicle shaft. Hair caught in the growth stage will not grow again.

Other follicles, which are not actively growing may produce new hair.These follicles will need to be targeted in future treatments.
